Hi all,
Here's another option for those looking for a bloop tube that fits the Harrell Tuner.
I've put some features into these that I consider makes all the difference.
Cheers Mick
Micky T I have been following the conversation on these Bloop tubes and the fitting to the Harrell Tuner which I have I also have the aluminium Bloop tube which I got at the same time I have successfully tuned the tuner part but am uncertain of how to go about the next step I see now you have two different ways of securing them one on the inner thread where mine attaches and your other one which looks like it screws on where the weights screw on what is the difference and how does one go about turning this device Also how would I go about purchasing one of either as I think the carbon fibre looks a better product?

Hi Wally.
I can't really recommend a process that'll work for the bloop tube that screws onto the inner body of the Harrell because I've never tried one sorry.
With the tube I've made I did some basic testing with various shapes and lengths until I could see a substantial improvement on the target. I have my theories on what's going on but can't really prove anything.
I've only made 2 of these tubes. One for my rifle and one for my good mate. If runs on the board prove anything then my tube has had a helping hand in setting the current IRB record of 250.23 which was set last year ìn Mackay. I honestly don't believe my tube was the main reason it set the new record but the owner noticed that it shot better with it on.
If there's enough interest in me making some of these tubes then I'll advertise them on here in the for sale section.
You can send me a private message if your interested in one.
Cheers Mick
As In terms I am only new to this game only a hand full of years in bench rest I am interested in anything which might help even theories can make a difference as I have found also If you think it might work then you owe it to yourself to try or it will eat at you till you do so ill try anything if I think it will make a difference i was at the shoot in Mackay when you set that record dam nice shooting
I have seen a number of these made by various people, often they seem to be trying different lengths etc.
What else have you included in your bloop tube to be different from the rest?
At the right price I know a number of people would be keen on one if they do indeed make a difference, how much would you sell them for if there was interest in them?
Hi Dave
I wouldn't say mine are that much different from the rest but mine are shaped inside where it attaches to the tuner in a way that helps. Well from the testing I did it seemed to make some difference.
The length was also something that made a difference.
And for price I'd say $125 posted in OZ
