Hi Everyone, with the passing of Steve SORI last year, the 2nd delegate position is vacant.
As the NSW 4 Gun will be held after the Centrefire Nationals, I am asking for expressions of interest to fill the 2nd delegate position before the Centrefire Nationals.
Apparently I am allowed to just appoint someone to fill the vacancy until the next meeting, but would much prefer not to do so.
As it stands I can exercise both of NSW Votes at the Nationals, this is not democratic, so please stand up any one interested.
Any one wishing to self nominate please do so by 1st February 2024, if there is more than one person interested I suggest that in the short term it will be a selection by names in the hat and a name pulled out? If no nominations are received I will exercise both of NSW votes at the Nationals if a vote is needed to be cast.

Please note Benchrest covers Centrefire and Rimfire even though historically the Delegate has come from the Centrefire ranks. All positions will be declared vacant at the NSW Centrefire 4 Gun, and nominations and voting for both Delegate positions will be held.

I had three interested people who approached me.
It is a promising sign for our sport that three people were prepared to stand up and get involved.
On having discussions with the candidates, two decided to withdraw in favour of the "younger" candidate.
I welcome Mitchell Tallar as the second Delegate for NSW.

The sport definately needs new blood at executive level.
Only 2 bits of advise i offer is try and please the majority not the loud minorities mate and sometimes your decisions may not suit you but be good for the greater sport.
