Hi all , After losing the Fly Match and the 600yd match in 2009 with the introduction of new rules in QLD we have just completed our 1st year at the new distance of 550 yds..Same shoot format as the old 600yd event with the same gun rules.. Any clubs wanting to use the rules to conduct a match ,we have targets a plenty also ..WE only got 4 events from our late start in August but most competitors got in a 6 target yearly average .. Results are --

Any News on getting the "FLY" Shoot back in 2010 or do i have to hide behind a tree when i mention "FLY"
HAve a rifle ready just doing final tuning so should see you all in Townsville in 2010.

Hi Bob , I don't have any info except rumour, Scuttlebutt has it that next March in Canberra some decisions will be made and those should allow the Fly to return to QLD..Till then we have our 550 yd Benchrest going along just nicely,mabye you should try that at the 1st match in '10..JR..Jeff Rogers

Yep for sure i will have a go at that and the 1000Yard.
Will be making a heavier stock in the next few weeks but will still be in light-Gun.
John has mentioned the Canberra shoot in March and i wouldnt mind going so i had better find a longer Range to test the rifle on, looks like i will be joining the NQRA again.
