Hi all,
The 2011 Nationals will be hosted by Victoria at Eagle Park range in April. Practice and set-up Tues 19th and Wednes 20th. On the Tues I anticipate that shooting can commence around midday, Wednesday will be all day interspersed with some lengthy breaks to allow flags to be set up if need be. The Sat, Sun & Monday prior are public days so early arrivals can also shoot on those days but the reloading areas will not be ready for occupancy till late Monday. In fact anyone wanting to have a crack at 500mt Fly can join in our club match on Sunday.
Competition days are 21st thru 24th. Experimental, Sporter, LBR, HBR in that order, 100 then 200 every day. Start time 9.00AM sharp with competitors on the line for first detail no later than 8.30AM. Match fees are $55 per class and those wishing to practice Tues/Wednes will need to pay a fee of $7.50 per day. On the public days a standard range fee of $15 will apply when you sign in at the main gate-house. All other days sign-in and payments will be at the benchrest scoring hut behind the main firing line (Lee-Anne will be organising this).
On the official practice days the 'everymans' target on the competition frames will be available for 100yds and other club frames will be available for 200yds. There will also be a 50yd sight-in target at the far RH end of the range - pls be sure to use this after barrel changes etc.
Camping is available at $10 per person per night - two locations - both with power available. Cold drinks, tea and coffee will be available in the reloading shed. The cafe will be operating on all match days and possibly on the Wednesday. Tuesday we will organise a 'pie-run' if required.
The range now boasts a fully stocked shop and should be open all days for your general requisites. As well as bringing pre-ordered stuff to the range I will have the usual specialised bits and pieces in my van but in deference to the range shop I will not be able to 'set up shop', so if you need something you will have to ask and I will dig it out for you.
Any further info - either use this forum or phone (03-52811380) or email . On line registration should be on this site soon - otherwise email and I will send you the form by return.
Pete
