????

G"day Brett,
Job well done on the weekend mate.!!
I just noticed in the HV tally that you have Michael Conway down as not shooting 2014 in Melbourne and I took his gear there for him and he definitely shot there.
Regards
Native
PS any chance you could forget mine.!! LOL it was a shocker.

Brett
Good checking

Thanks Native,
Can eveyrbody check their results, I may have made errors.
I found this problem, I used "Michael Conway" in 2013 and "Mick Conway" in 2014, Dumb excel could not work out I meant the same person, so he is on the list twice.
He moves up to spot 44 and and everybody below spot 44 goes down a spot.

Final results

The results from melbourne are quite different to what I expected but then I understand conditions were pretty terrible for everyone. Congratulations to all those who made the top three in each event, and also to everyone else for a terrific effort.
To not come home with a winning score is no shame as on the day anyone can win and every one of you are winners. Dont forget that!
Melbourne is a very difficult range at the best of times and even world champions have suffered there so keep your powder dry and lets get stuck into Silverdale in April. I am sure it will be another tough day at the office but then nobody would expect anything else. Congratulations to you all. A terrific effort in tough conditions.

Tough shoot.!!

G"day All,
Melbourne put on a fine show of weather and conditions and it showed in the varied results compared from Sydney.
As a few have said its anyones show on the day.
John Harrison was a worthy winner in HV and shows up at a lot of shoots.
It can go any way depending on the day,John used the same outfit for light and shot well but didn't make the top ranks, goes to show we are all in with a chance.
Good to see everyone enjoying themselves and furthering the sport of rimfire benchrest here in OZ.

Hi Dave
Venom is mine, It's the best (and most expensive) rifle I have had. I'm the only thing that lets it down in the shooting department.
It's a Stiller Copperhead, Shilen Octagon, Shilen BR Trigger, Nightforce NF 12-42, Bigstick stock, Harrell tuner and Pappas Slide
Paint job done by me in the back shed :)
Chamber was done by Shane Clancy and bedding was done by John Davis at Guyra.

John Harrison's gun has an Octagon in it as well.
I find it a good barrel but it doesn't like to be cleaned to often, loves it dirty.

Thanks for that Bill and Don

Thanks for that Bill and Don so Jaegon Peet who got a 250 is listed at 1 for his FM this is talking about the dot that was missed right ?
Dig yes DFU was my aim before going into the comp (Don't F Up) but I lost my way on the second target when I but the front flags tail behind the support post.

Brett
Correct

When a 250 is shot the First Miss (FM) is the first shot that is not an X.
All this FM stuff only decides Target winners, something the USA guys are big on but we don't do it very much.

FM

Hi Jet

Here is the rule from the WRABF & ERABSF RULEBOOK 2012 - 2013

8G First Miss (FM):All targets will be scored for FM

. The Scorer will check the target box’s starting with the #1 target box. First target box that is not a 10 will be recorded as FM. If target box 1 through 25 are all 10’s (250 Score) go to #1 target box and check X's. The first target box that is not an X will be recorded as FM. If a tie still exists (250 25X), go to #1 target box and the first X that is not completely plugged out will be recorded as FM. (All FM recorded in the Target Score area and not in target boxes.)

Hope this clears this up for you. ;)

Cheers

Greg

Thanks Greg

So all I have to do to completely stump the scorer is hit all the complete dots out of my targets then ?
Thanks for clearing that completely up for me . I really need to read that rule book more throughly.
I wonder if anyone has ever shot a 250 with twenty five dots that would be a fine target wouldnt it.
Would it ever be possible?
