Can anyone help me here? In regards to Load Testing what is better when trying to work out the best load should you only shoot 3 shots groups, 5 shots, 7 shots or even more? Mostly I have only been shooting a 3 to 5 shot group. I have been picking the best load from the testing and fine tuning that but until now I didn't have the expensive loading gear and when running tests any shots that went out of a good group I'd put down to the cheap gear that I had. One article that I have been reading says that one should put down a 7 to 10 shot group when testing. This then shows the full potential of the load. Now that I have the good gear that can make pretty consistent loads I'd like to know what other people think about this topic? I mean am I just wasting bullets and shooting out my barrel quicker if I load test 7 to 10 shots? Cheers Michael.
