Thought this was a great shooting story to good not to be shared.

Last week end , the Grafton smallbore club conducted their annual IRB 3 card shoot as part of this northern NSW regions 8 club series shoot

Which attracted such notable exponents as Don Powell, Nick Ward, Peter Nicoll. and a strong field of 35 shooters.

A separate trophy was on offer for the best performance by a Grafton Club member in Honour of the late Bobby Blacklock .

In the main event the open division IRB Custom (Heavy) there was a 3 way tie between Donny Powell, Marley Blacklock, and Peter Nicoll, with same point score.
Actually since I haven't seen the score sheets as they a had computer blow out and can't be listed .
But apparently Donny and young Marley had exactly the same dots but Don won on first miss. Marley second and Pete got third.

Marley Blacklock, being a Grafton club member won his Grandfathers (Bob Blacklock) memorial trophy on its very first outing which was a wonderful outcome and quite fitting.

Bob's widow Pat and of course Marleys grandmother was very happy about this and I think that probably most of you all will be as well.

The young bloke can shoot, as he did it in strong blustery winds in the morning which tested all shooters.

I wasn't there but I wished I could have witnessed this myself
