Note that Bill Casey ( Slick) does have some ammo to sell and puts on this competition against many fine shooters to give us a feel for the targets we will shoot.
Dave Kenimer puts on a triple duece competition of two targets of ARA,PSL and IR 50-50 which is the three different disciplines that are shot in the USA and will be shot in the Triple Crown.
After going in 2017 I would throughly recommend that anyone interested in rimfire bench rest this should be on your bucket list
Not only for the shooting but mainly for the chance of meeting a really good bunch of blokes that were nothing but good to us all from Australia.
Those boys can shoot
Looking forward to seeing all of our friends from down under in May.
Always great fun!

Will be nice to see you as well mate.
I have never used that beautiful target level you gave me but I have showed it off to a lot of people.
No way I am losing that level it went straight to the pool room.

We are having a terrific time over here but our internet connection is fairly ordinary in Hotel 6 where we are staying especially at night.
Today is the Triple Crown competition its 4.30 in the morning over here and someones alarm is just ring and ringing next door
I would advise anyone that loves rimfire Benchrest that this is an event that should be on your bucket list
So many really nice people involved in this sport and you are made to feel very welcome
These guys are so good that I can't describe it but you have to see for yourself.
Yesterday was a ARA club championship with 97 people competing
The was simply dreadful and the range being enclosed by a mountain range and large trees becomes a whirlpool.
But the top guys somehow shot through it all and posted some really high scores
There were a couple of targets that I was honestly completely stumped on trying to work out how to hit the dot.
With ARA it is scored worst edge scoring and you go from a hundred to a fifty if you go anymore than a millimetre from the dot
These boys hit the dot most times its just unreal to witness
The PSL that I shot the day before you had to hit the dot to get a hundred that is one hard target as well but the conditions were better than yesterday
What I really love about how the competitions over here though is that you put your hand in a bag and pick a detail first, then you put your hand in another bag and pick a bench.
So it is totally a random draw, if you are sharing flags with someone they go on your draw and the details are reversed the next day.
This happens for every competition that you shoot and if you are on a crap bench and detail then you have no crumbling as its a totally random draw.
We all hang are own targets every detail as part of the change and the scoring team collect them ahead of us so that saves a lot of time
But what is really different is we shoot six cards in a day and only move benches after three cards.
Actually with ARA we didn't change benches at all so your stuck with whatever you draw for the competition
Cant believe how much this speeds up the details and fuss
We actually sot nine cards one day whilst at Chickenfoot range and were finished by four o'clock
I am just trying to let you know how they run things over here
Our rules, I know are rules are different with the detail changes so please don't get offended by this post
Think of us seven Aussie shooters today and I will try to post up results of day one tonight

Have a terrific time Ben and shoot straight
Kim
It was a long day and felt like death by a thousand cuts, I just couldn't get the bullets to go in the center but wasn't the only one
Richard had a great day shooting one of the best rifles in the USA what a terrific experience for him
Greg the bloke that owned it even supplied the ammo but Richard still had to point it and it was a hard day at the office so Congratulations on his terrific performance.
Clinton worked the conditions out on the PSL section of the Triple crown and scored the highest target on the last target of the day which was a great accomplishment indeed,
It is a very tricky range to shoot at yet many of the USA blokes didn't seem to be phased a all shooting some incredibly high scores in these conditions
Both the targets shot yesterday basically you had to hit the dot to get 100 if you didn't you got fifty and then if you were say in a nine you got 25 so it is really a tough game
Today we shoot IR 50-50 which is basically the IRB target so hope we all do well on a familiar target.
This has been a terrific experience for all of us over here and I will try to post final scores but our internet is really crappy
The range was dead still the first two cards then the wind came in with a rush

I apologise for being slow getting information to you all but its pretty hectic over here and big days
Shooting six cards every day my biggest thrill was doing well in the PSL which qualified me for the USA Nationals main Event
Actually better find those results and get them up for you
