Qld State Hunterclass Titles 2009 Rimfire & Centrefire

Does anybody know how Warwick will be running the Factory class and Open class on the same day? I mean will it be like Brissy did for the rimfire at the BR Nationals. I just need to know cause the wife and I will be using the same rifle for both classes with different barrels and I don't want to be changing barrels all day.
Thanks
Mick

Sorry

Sorry, I meant light class. When I started hunterclass for some reason my club called it open class. Thanks Stuart.

Cheers

Mick, No worries. Wasn't

Mick,
No worries. Wasn't really having a go at you. Somehow for many years it seems that a lot of people in QLD started calling the Rimfire Class "Open Class" even at Registered matches. In fact even the trophies said that I am fairly sure. How could you blame people for thinking that was it's name? The powers that be should not have let that happen. The rulebook has never called it that. It's pretty hard to convince other State associations to take QLD seriously when the old "she'll be right mate" attitude prevailed. Fortunately that's changing.

Sorry

And I just want to make one thing clear, I had no problem in the way the 2009 BR Nationals Rimfire were run, it's just if I have to change the barrel between details I will be wasting time trying to sight it back in. I just wanted to know if I needed to bring an alternative rifle. Thanks.

Cheers

Mick,Cannot answer this

Mick,
Cannot answer this question in relation to the shoot at Warrwick for you but in reference to the Nationals at Bris the good news is that the BR Committee finally made a decision to have separate Rimfire Nationals in the future. So that will mean the two classes mixed together won't occur again and changing your barrel for the different classes will work just fine.
In fact the first 4 day Rimfire Nationals will be held in Brisbane in 2009. Actual date yet to be set. 2 days of IRB, one day of Light Rimfire class groups(previously Rimfire class) and one day of Heavy Rimfire class groups(previously Custom class). These new names will appear in the next rulebook print due by next year I believe.
Anyway I think this is a good thing and will progress Rimfire a great deal
